7 Distressed Denim Looks For All Shapes & Sizes

No matter your shape, fashion can often be unflattering unless you're a catwalk model...and even then sometimes it still doesn't work! So there are times when it's important for us to see how certain trends look on bodyshapes similar to ours before we venture into trying them for ourselves.

Up today, we have the distressed denim trend. Denim never disappears from fashion but this season denim really is in full force, so it might be time to take the scissors to those old beat up jeans to give them a fresh look for Spring.

...and as always, love your size and shape, stay happy and healthy!

Are you a fan of these looks? Which one is your favourite?

Fashion For Relief 2015 LFW

London Fashion Week started off with celebrities taking to the catwalk for Naomi Campbell's Fashion For Relief 2015.

The charity fashion show, which has been running annually for a number of years now, was in aid of the Ebola crisis in Africa.

The show kicked off in style, with a number of celebrities – such as Michelle Keegan, Mark Wright, Rupert Everett, Tallia Storm, Ella Eyre, Bruno Tonioli, DJ Bip Ling, Vivienne Westwood and Bob Geldof - and significant fashion industry figures in attendance to show their support for the cause.

Models and celebrities took part in the show and strutted their stuff in a range of cool, glamorous and quirky outfits.

Celebrities who took part in the show included Pixie Lott, Katie Price, Alesha Dixon, Caroline Flack, Annabelle Neilson, Katie Piper, Sarah 'Fergie' Ferguson, Nicola Roberts, Sarah Jane Crawford and Laura Whitmore.

The celebrity looks and outfits were pretty vibrant and eccentric. Katie Price rocked up an androgynous look, opting for a suit and bow tie. TV presenter and Strictly Come Dancing winner Caroline Flack looked regal wearing a prom-style dress and a crown fascinator with black netting. Pop singer and Strictly Come Dancing star Pixie Lott wore a black tuxedo jacket, a matching bodice, a bunny tail and bunny ears.

Alesha Dixon shimmered in a gold fringed mini dress. Girls Aloud singer Nicola Roberts look glamorous in a red floor-length gown and Sarah Ferguson, the former Duchess of York, looked elegant in a black floor-length gown.

Models, such as Daisy Lowe, Alice Dellal and Georgia May Jagger, also took part in the event but supermodels Naomi Campbell and Jourdan Dunn completely dominated the catwalk, wearing a couple of outfits each. Jourdan wore a metallic checked mini dress, and a two piece suit made up of wide legged pleated trousers and a pair of ankle boots. Naomi donned a glittery gold coat, and a sheer black Roberto Cavalli dress with gold embellishments and feathers.

All in all, the event was bound to be fun, fabulous, glitzy and glamorous, but most of all, it was successful and for an important cause: to raise loads of money for the Ebola crisis in Africa.

Who do you think stole the show? What do you think of "fashion for a cause"?

The 70s Comeback Trend: Flares

ways-to-wear-flares-trend-fall-winter-2014-2015-streetstyle-outfits-looks-flares-flared-jeans-pants-trousers

As much as fashion is ever-changing and ever-evolving, it's not rare at all for trends to make a comeback. In fact, we love a good comeback trend because if anything it really does show the evolution of fashion throughout the years. Today's comeback trend of discussion is the flared trouser. When you compare today's outfits featuring flares with those back in the 70s you can tell how style has evolved despite that it's the same trend.

This flared trend has been on our radar for quite some time, but now seems a better time than any to really embrace this trend. So we've gathered some street style snaps which we hope give you a little inspiration on how to style this trend this decade.

Those who are attached to their skinny jeans may fear this trend, but please give it a try! They can be surprisingly flattering in the fact that they balance out your curves and make your pins leaner and longer (especially when worn with heels).

Fashion Fade's 1st Birthday!

It almost slipped us by - oops! Fashion Fade's 1st birthday was on the 10th of February and wow, what a year it's been for us. Fashion Fade started off as two girls with a dream to combine their blogging experience and love for fashion into a magazine that would appeal to a wide audience and feature style from all around the world.

Since starting up Fashion Fade, we had beauty writer Sophie join us to make a little team of three, plus we never forget the guest writers we've had along the way that are always welcome to come and write for us again. As Fashion Fade grows we hope that our team will grow with it so we can bring you diverse and refreshing content every week.

We've seen our audience really grow over the past year and we hope that doesn't stop. We've had a lot of people passing through via google or pinterest, but we can always count on the 25% of our audience who comes back time and time again, and for that we are extremely thankful!

Monochrome dressing is all about good fabrics and even better cuts.

When everyone is trying to stand out from the crowd, monochrome dressing may seem underwhelming, but a perfect outfit stemming from simplicity can make a real statement and can show off real creative flair. If you want some ideas on how to dress well using a simple black and white palette, we've put together some awesome outfits for you to get inspiration from.
